The coming Deception

I believe that we are in living in the times of great deception spoken of throughout the scriptures. Jesus told us to be watchful and Paul warned against such coming teachers and so forth. Over the next month or so on Wednesday nights Pastor Weintraub is going to be teaching about this word and what is associated with it. He said he believes that there is about to be a time of deception that will be unprecedented and that we need to be aware of Jesus' words and teachings so that we are not fooled. So my encouragement to everyone is that you study to show yourself approved and that you continue in sound teaching, always taking what people have to say to the scriptures to verify the validity. Do not be fearful, those are the words that Jesus would say to us, just be prepared and stay close to Him. He warned the people in Matthew 24 about the coming times and many were not ready in 70 AD when Jerusalem was attacked and millions suffered death. Meditate on some of these verses and search them out to see what context He is referring to. Be encouraged and realized that we have His Spirit in us and we can't make it living by our own site. 1. I like your blog. And I think another thing to emphasize is the connection to the Holy Spirit. If that fellowship is not knitted, tight, and growing stronger each day, deception is inevitable. I think that is the point Pastor Weintraub was really presing. We know Jesus' words, but the KEY is that the connection to the Holy Spirit be constant so we know what is being said through the scriptures. Because we, as man, can distort and destroy the meaning of what the scriptures are saying without that connection. Just take into consideration what the Church, as a whole, has done to the Book of Revelation. It has warped and been consumed by doctrine and traditions without inviting the Holy Spirit to confirm or clarify if what they believe, teach, and confess is truth.
Good blog. Just wanted to add a little.
    Thanks again for updating!
