FREEDOM TO ASSEMBLE?

In the time that we live people are becoming more and more skeptical and afraid. Some of the articles that you will see today show just how frustrated and callous people have become to people simply knocking on their door. In the past it was exciting to welcome guests into your home and talk with someone coming to your door. Today is a much different story. Fear of Jehovah's witnesses or burglars have people all but ignoring the door and if they answer it is usually with a half cracked doorway so they can muscle out an intruder. I would urge all disciples of Yeshua (Jesus) to keep an eye on these current American rights. Pray for lost souls and don't stop street witnessing or door knocking if the Holy Spirit is leading you to do that.

Memorial Day

Thank you Lord for those who have stood and given their lives to protect this country and fight for freedom. I took a look at the news this morning and I have to say things are heating up in the Middle East. It would not surprise me to see a war between Israel and Iran this year at all. Please be praying for peace in that area and for discernment for the leadership in Israel. Pray also for the innocent people in Iran who are not involved in politics and don't make the decisions over there. On a good note we had an amazing study last night and William and myself were asked to teach for a few minutes. I struggled with it for a good bit of the day and then prayed about it and gave it to the Lord. He calmed my fears and let me rest in studying out the word belief. I looked at several scriptures where this word is used throughout all the scriptures. It is amazing that belief is tied to faith and action and not confession. It is a two part deal. William was also asked to share/teach and he looked at some of the same scripture that Pastor Weintraub started in that morning at study John 8:31. He branched off and asked some great questions like in verse 33, in bondage to what? He went to John 15 and talked about abiding in the Lord, What does that mean? Also Galatians 5:16, and other places adding on to walking in the Spirit. Take a look at these scriptures and feel free to ask the Lord for others and examine what is believing? (Genesis 15:6; Exodus 4:5; Daniel 6:23; 2 Chronicles 20:20; Psalm 119:66 with Psalm 119:166; James 2:19; John 11:25-26; John 14:10-17; John 20:24-31; Hebrews 11:6; Philippians 1:29) Again don't limit your search to just these scriptures but really ask yourself what is it to believe?

Big Government - Big Problems

I am noticing that the U.S. Government is getting very very large. Not that it is a surprise or that most people don't already know this. There are a few headlines today that you might want to be aware of because I believe they infringe on your rights as a citizen. The rest of the Headlines will be as normal relating to what is going on in the times we are living. Remember it is the small changes that a government makes that sneak up on you in the long run. Very good Bible study last night studying what we believe and looking at the scriptures and doctrines that are taught by many different denominations. We have been looking at the word election and I would encourage you to look up that word and see when it is mentioned and what it has to do with. We are addressing three different belief systems right now, Catholicism, Armenianism and Reformed theology. So do your homework and study to show yourself approved. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Free from Oppression

Wow its been 11 days since the last post, O how time flys. To walk free from oppression is what the Lord has begun teaching over the last few messages. In my last post I mentioned the coming deception because that is a topic that Pastor Weintraub has begun teaching on and I beleive that is what the Lord is trying to prepare us for. Interesting enough because he has been teaching about blessing and how the Lord is El Shaddai (Provider and so much more). That is what the Lord does he prepares his people before something is going to happen and equips them with what they need to hold on in tough times. Yeshua (Jesus) desires to provide for us, deliver and keep us just as Jesus said in Isaiah 61:1. This last month has been amazing and I have had several opportunities to share the gospel with people. Please pay attention to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying because I keep getting urged by Him to tell people that He comes quickly. (Psalm 56, Psalm 120-124 right now are amazing)

The coming Deception

I believe that we are in living in the times of great deception spoken of throughout the scriptures. Jesus told us to be watchful and Paul warned against such coming teachers and so forth. Over the next month or so on Wednesday nights Pastor Weintraub is going to be teaching about this word and what is associated with it. He said he believes that there is about to be a time of deception that will be unprecedented and that we need to be aware of Jesus' words and teachings so that we are not fooled. So my encouragement to everyone is that you study to show yourself approved and that you continue in sound teaching, always taking what people have to say to the scriptures to verify the validity. Do not be fearful, those are the words that Jesus would say to us, just be prepared and stay close to Him. He warned the people in Matthew 24 about the coming times and many were not ready in 70 AD when Jerusalem was attacked and millions suffered death. Meditate on some of these verses and search them out to see what context He is referring to. Be encouraged and realized that we have His Spirit in us and we can't make it living by our own site. (2 Timothy 4:1-5; Luke 21:8; John 16:33)

Hosea - I love this song

I just wanted to post the lyrics to a song that I really like. Andrew Peterson writes and sings this song and it is very powerful. I would suggest the CD if you don't have it (Resurrection Letters Volume Ii). Lyrics: "Every time I lay in the bed beside you, Hosea, Hosea, I hear the sound of the streets of the city. My belly growls like a hungry wolf and I let it prowl till my belly's full. Hosea, my heart is a stone. Please believe me when I say I'm sorry, Hosea, Hosea, you loveable, gullible man. I tell you that my love is true till it fades away like a morning dew. Hosea, leave me alone. Here I am in the Valley of Trouble. Just look at the bed that I've made: badlands as far as I can see. There's no one here but me, Hosea.I stumbled and fell in the road on the way home, Hosea, Hosea. I lay in the brick street like a stray dog. You came to me like a silver moon with the saddest smile I ever knew. Hosea carried me home again. Home again. You called me out to the Valley of Trouble just to look at the mess that I've made, a barren place where nothing can grow. One look and my stone heart crumbled--it was a valley as green as jade. I swear it was the color of hope. You turned a stone into a rose, Hosea.I sang and I danced like I did as a young girl, Hosea, Hosea. I am a slave and a harlot no more. You washed me clean like a summer rain and you set me free with that ball and chain. Hosea, I threw away the key. I'll never leave."

Update

I have been learning about how not to fear, how the Lord is the blesser, studying the book of Romans, and today I was reading the book of Galatians a little. At studies recently we have been looking at how much the Lord talks about keep us (three different words used for that in the scriptures and they have to do with guarding us and watching over us). It is amazing to see all that He talks about wanting to keep and hearing us when we cry out. Another awesome study we have been on are the Psalms of ascent starting with Psalm 120 for the next 15 Psalms. (Psalm 39: 4-5; 2 Chron 16:9; Proverbs 13:3) I hope you enjoy looking at some of these scriptures they are awesome. There are tons of other verses but I am not looking at my notes right now and I am at work.
